Ordering Information

Reactant free silver nanoparticles are a kind of silver nanoparticles that can be synthesized without any reducing agent or stabilizer. Traditional methods of synthesizing silver nanoparticles involve the use of toxic chemicals that can be harmful to the environment. However, researchers have found a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective way to produce silver nanoparticles: reactant free silver nanoparticles. They are an ideal substitutes for gold nanoparticles because they have the maximum absorption in the range of 400 nm instead of 500 nm for gold nanoparticles. Silver nanoparticles retain the same protein and other ligand binding properties as gold nanoparticles. Reactant free silver nanoparticles can be dispersed in 2 mM citric acid solution to remove up to 99% of the residual reactants in production, which can minimize insults in the manufacturing process. It is suitable for more sensitive applications, such as cell-based research and nanotoxicology research.

Advantages of Reactant Free Silver Nanoparticles

--Environmentally Friendly: Reactant free silver nanoparticles are synthesized without the need for any toxic chemicals, making them environmentally friendly.

--Cost-Effective: The green synthesis method used to synthesize reactant free silver nanoparticles is simple and cost-effective, making it a viable alternative to traditional methods.

--Biocompatible: reactant free silver nanoparticles have been shown to be biocompatible, making them suitable for biomedical applications.

--Versatile: reactant free silver nanoparticles have a wide range of applications, from biomedical to environmental.

Production of Reactant Free Silver Nanoparticles

Reactant free silver nanoparticles are synthesized using a green synthesis method, which involves the reduction of silver ions using plant extracts, such as green tea, grapefruit, and aloe vera. The plant extracts act as both reducing and stabilizing agents, eliminating the need for any toxic chemicals. The synthesis process is simple, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly.

The synthesis involves the following steps:

Preparation of the plant extract: The plant extract is prepared by boiling the plant material in water. The extract is then filtered to remove any solid particles.

Synthesis of reactant free silver nanoparticles: The silver ions are added to the plant extract, and the mixture is heated to a specific temperature. The silver ions are reduced to form reactant free silver nanoparticles, which are stabilized by the plant extract.
