Ordering Information

Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are a type of nanomaterial that has gained significant attention in recent years due to their potential applications in biomedicine. Basic magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are a type of MNP that have a magnetic core and a biocompatible coating.

MNPs are typically composed of a magnetic core, which is usually made of iron oxide, and a biocompatible coating, such as silica or polymer. The magnetic core allows the particles to be manipulated by magnetic fields, while the coating protects the particles from degradation and enhances their biocompatibility. Depending on their intended application, BMNPs range in size from a few nanometers to a few micrometers.

Biomedical Applications of Basic Magnetic Particles

Basic magnetic nanoparticles are a versatile tool in biomedical applications, and have potential applications in drug delivery, magnetic separation, hyperthermia therapy and imaging.

--Drug Delivery: MNPs can be loaded with drugs and targeted to specific tissues or cells using magnetic fields. This enables the drugs to be directly delivered to the site of action, reducing side effects and increasing efficacy. MNPs loaded with doxorubicin, a chemotherapy drug, are able to selectively kill cancer cells in vitro.

--Magnetic Separation: MNPs can also be used for magnetic separation, which is a technique used to isolate specific cells or molecules from a mixture. For example, BMNPs coated with antibodies are able to selectively capture and isolate cancer cells from a mixture of cells. This technique has potential applications in cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as in the isolation of rare cells, such as circulating tumor cells, from blood samples.

--Hyperthermia Therapy: Hyperthermia therapy involves heating cancer cells using magnetic fields to induce cell death. BMNPs can be targeted cancer cells using magnetic fields and then heated using alternating magnetic fields. BMNPs were able to induce cell death in cancer cells in vitro when exposed to alternating magnetic fields.

--Imaging: MNPs can also be used for imaging, particularly magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). For example, MNPs coated with dextran were able to enhance the contrast in MRI images of mouse brains. MNPs have also been used for liver imaging in humans, with the approval of the US Food and Drug Administration.

Production of Basic Magnetic Particles

At present, the methods for preparing basic magnetic nanoparticles mainly include co-precipitation, microemulsion, solvothermal, thermal decomposition, sonochemical, chemical vapor deposition, microwave assisted, combustion synthesis, laser pyrolysis synthesis, and carbon arc.

--Co-precipitation method: This process is simple and convenient, and the raw materials are easy to obtain, but it is necessary to add organic dispersants or complexing agents to improve the dispersion and stability of particles and prevent aggregation between particles.

--Microemulsion method: Under the action of surfactants, two immiscible liquids form a kinetically and thermodynamically stable, uniform, transparent, isotropic dispersion system with a particle size of 1-100 nm. The system generally consists of three parts: oil phase, aqueous solution, and surfactant, and is specifically divided into two systems: oil dispersed in water (O/W) and water dispersed in oil (W/O). The microemulsion system for preparing magnetic nanoparticles is usually in W/O. In the W/O system, the water phase is distributed in the form of droplets, and its outer layer is wrapped with a single-layer continuous phase of surfactant molecules.

Product Description

Magnetic nanoparticles have a series of unique and superior physical and chemical properties, such as magnetic orientation, biocompatibility, small size effect, surface effect, etc., which can simplify the complicated traditional experimental methods and shorten the experimental time. It is a new and efficient reagent.

Alpha Lifetech Inc. provides unmodified magnetic particles to meet the diverse needs of customers. The magnetic function of a magnetic particle is determined by the composition, size and shape of its magnetic core. These cores can be made of different materials with different sizes, shapes, uniformity and magnetic properties. Alpha Lifetech Inc. produces monodisperse magnetic nanoparticles with controllable size and good stability.

Product Performance

1.Good operation performance: the magnetic beads are evenly dispersed, superparamagnetic and fast in magnetic response.

2. Excellent stability and batch-to-batch repeatability: uniform particle size and monodisperse.

3. Good suspension: it can be kept in suspension for a long time.
